Jīntiān shì dà kǎoshì.

Today is the big exam.

小明来了教室，准备好了铅笔。 {Play}

Xiǎo Míng lái le jiàoshì, zhǔnbèi hǎo le qiānbǐ.

Xiao Ming came to the classroom, ready with his pencil.

他的铅笔在桌子上，眼睛看着书。 {Play}

Tā de qiānbǐ zài zhuōzi shàng, yǎnjīng kàn zhe shū.

His pencil was on the desk, and his eyes were looking at the book.

他想着： “我准备好了吗？” {Play}

Tā xiǎng zhe: “Wǒ zhǔnbèi hǎo le ma?”

He thought: “Am I ready?”

老师走进教室，说： “大家，开始看考试的题，准备好写。” {Play}

Lǎoshī zǒu jìn jiàoshì, shuō: “Dàjiā, kāishǐ kàn kǎoshì de tí, zhǔnbèi hǎo xiě.”

The teacher walked into the classroom and said: “Everyone, start looking at the exam questions and get ready to write.”

小明拿起铅笔，开始看题。 {Play}

His pencil was on the desk, his eyes looked forward, and he thought: “I am ready, I did very well.”

考试完后，老师说： “下课了！” {Play}

Kǎoshì wán hòu, lǎoshī shuō: “Xià kè le!”

After the exam, the teacher said: “Class is over!”

小明高兴走出了教室，觉得今天的考试很好。 {Play}
